Chicken Biryani

Chicken Dum Biryani is a rich and aromatic dish that features marinated chicken and basmati rice, slow-cooked together using the traditional "dum" cooking method. The chicken is marinated in yoghurt, along with a blend of spices like cumin, coriander, garam masala, and turmeric, which infuse the meat with deep flavours. Layers of fragrant basmati rice, caramelized onions, saffron-infused milk, and fresh herbs like mint and cilantro are placed over the marinated chicken in a sealed pot. The "dum" method traps the steam inside, allowing the chicken to cook tenderly while the rice absorbs the flavours. The result is a perfectly spiced, juicy chicken biryani with aromatic, fluffy rice. It’s often served with raita, boiled eggs, and a side of salad.
